QuickFigure Pro 3.1 is the new version of the leading spreadsheet application for Newton PDAs utilitzing Newton 2.0 OS.. QuickFigure Pro gives the mobile professional the ability to collect, analyze, and communicate spreadsheet data on the go.

QuickFigurePro 3.1 has been designed to integrate tightly with Newton 2.0. It uses Newton 2.0's stationery feature to allow users to easily create spreadsheets inside the MessagePad's built-in notepad. QuickFigure Pro 3.1 also supports either landscape or portrait screen orientation, and has a full suite of communications capabilities, including support for beaming, e-mail, and easy integration with desktop spreadsheet applications.

QuickFigure Pro 3.1 includes new connectivity features, which provide seamless integration with Microsoft Excel on both Macintosh and Windows platforms. A "QuickFigure" menu item is added to Excel's menu bar to facilitate easy data transfer.

Other new features include support for larger spreadsheets (up to 255 columns by 9999 rows), drag and drop, improved printing support, and new worksheet linking options. The graphing and charting tool has also been enhanced, and includes full support for the MessagePad 2000's new gray scale display.

QuickFigure Pro 3.1 includes all the features of the previous versions including over 70 math, scientific, statistical, date, and financial functions, conditional operations, sorting, matrix solver, graphing and charting, "lookup" functions, templates, label locking, and worksheet password protection.

For users of QuickFigure Pro 3.1 who are not using Excel 5.0, QF Exchange, QuickFigure's import/export utility, is still available. QF Exchange allows easy connectivity to Macintosh and Windows desktop spreadsheet applications. QF Exchange gives the user a direct connection to their desktop spreadsheet. The Newton Connection Kit is not required.

Larger Spreadsheet size and New Features
Quickfigure Pro 2.5 is the latest version of QuickFigure for the 1.x Newton. QuickFigure Pro 2.5 continues the QuickFigure tradition of speed and ease of use, and adds many new features:

• Larger worksheets - 26 columns by 99 rows.
   
•  The ability to name worksheets.
   
•  Cell protection.
   
•  The ability to password a worksheet.
   
•  Selection window in the edit menu allows a range selection larger than is visible on the   screen.
   
•  Label locking enables Column A and Row 1 to be locked while scrolling.
   
•  The ability to make templates.
   
•  QF Exchange has been updated for easier import/export.

In addition, QuickFigure Pro 2.5 includes all of the functionality of previous versions of QuickFigure, including:

• Over 40 math, scientific, financial, and statistical functions.
   
•  Support for user-defined functions and conditional statements.
   
•  The ability to do calculations through the use of the Newton's Intelligent Assistant.
   
•  Full printing, faxing, beaming, and NewtonMail capability.
   
• Import and Export capabilities. QuickFigure Pro can exchange data with most Macintosh and Windows spreadsheets.
   
• Resizeable column widths.
   
• The ability to export a worksheet's data to the Newton's NotePad.
   
• An online function reference.
   
• QuickFigure Tools, a means of adding extensions to QuickFigure.
   
• QChart, a complete graphing/charting package, allowing Newton users to visually analyze QuickFigure data. This package produces line, pie, and bar charts, and can produce high-quality printed charts, as well.
   
• The Fast Scrolling option allows you to reduce the amount of heap memory used by QuickFigure. With Fast Scrolling turned off, QuickFigure Pro will scroll slower, but more memory will be available, allowing you to create larger worksheets.
   
• The ability to insert or delete a row or column. This is done using the Edit menu.
   
• Additions or changes may be make in the Functions menu (the pop-up view which appears when you tap on the Functions button in the input window.
   
• QuickFigure Pro supports vLookup and hLookup functions. These functions allow you to search a specified range for a matching value or string, and then look down or across a specified number of rows or columns to return a value.
   
• The QuickFigure Linear Equation Solver is a QuickFigure Tool which allows you to solve linear equations, I.e. equations where you have x equations and x unknowns.
   
• QSort is a sorting tool for QuickFigure. You can sort ranges of cells based on Numeric, Text, or Date sorts, and in Ascending or Descending order.
